How can i nominate a person?
Nominations must be in writing and will be accepted in the following ways.
- eMails can be addressed to the Returning Officer
- Written nomination in a sealed envelope handed to any committee member, who will then pass the unopened envelope to the Returning Officer

Who is eligible to nominate?
Only current financial members of the club are eligible to nominate a person to a position.
Is there a form I need to fill in to nominate someone?
No a simple message such as: "I John/Jane Citizen would like to nominate Joe/Joanne Bloggs for the position of X on the Woden Wanderers Cricket Club
Committee" will be acceptable.
When do nominations have to be completed?
Nominations must be recieved AND accepted by 5pm Wednesday 1st April 2009
What does accepted mean?
A person nominated for a position on the committee must accept the nomination for it to be valid. Acceptance of a nomination must be in writing by any of
the means mentioned in answer for "How can i nominate a person?" Acceptances
must be received by 5pm Wednesday 1st April 2009
Can I nominate myself?
Yes, you can nominate yourself. You will, of course, not be required to accept your own nomination as this will be automatic.
Who can vote at the AGM?
All current financial members of the club are eligible to vote. Non-financial members are not eligible to vote.
Note: A club member must be a fully paid financial member by 5pm Wednesday 1st April 2009
to be eligible to vote at the AGM. Memberships can not be paid on the
night of the AGM and then allowed to vote. No exceptions.
How can I vote at the AGM?
Votes will only be accepted by physical presence at the AGM. No proxy voting of any kind will be allowed. Phone and/or SMS votes will not be accepted. One
member = One vote.
Does anything else happen at the AGM?
Yes. An agenda will be sent out, by email, prior to the AGM and posted on the clubs website under Club Business.
Why is it so formal? Aren't we just cricketers having fun?
Yes we are cricketers and families having fun, however the committee feels that for the future of the club a number of processes should be put in place
to ensure all future members of the club have a clear understanding of each
members roles and responsibilities within the club.
Do I have to attend?
No is it not compulsory to vote however the committee strongly requests you do make yourself available to ensure you have your say on the future direction of
the club.
How can I pay my membership before 5pm Wednesday 1st April 2009?
Fill in an Application for Membership
and sending an email to the Treasurer (Caitlin Hammick) to arrange payment
A Direct Deposit option is also available.
